Columbretes Islands Natural Park

he Columbretes islands are one of the most interesting places to visit in the western Mediterranean, and without doubt on the Castellón coast, because they of their unique and very rich land and sea ecosystems.
They are, in fact, an archipelago comprising small islands of volcanic origin. Grossa Island is the biggest of the archipelago and from its shape you can see that it is an old crater.
Animals living here include Eleanora’s falcon, Audouin’s gull and the loggerhead turtle. There is also a rich variety of seabed communities.
