During the summer months you can discover the life of the sea, the fishing gear, the auction, the visit to the fish market and the Sailors Museum.
Fishing tourism gives you an excellent opportunity to visit the harbour and get to know the secrets of one of the hardest but most traditional professions in Benicarló and indeed the Mediterranean.
First of all, the visit focuses on knowing how and what is fished in Benicarló. You are shown the different fishing methods on smaller boats like trammel, fishing with hooks and ‘Caduf’, and the material that fishermen use as well as what a day’s fishing is like. Then you are shown larger fishing vessels.
